Twinkie
Oh boy. Kam told us last night our street name changed from Private Road to something else. We hadn't even noticed the new road sign, so I called the post office this morning to confirm. This is terrible. I asked if the road name is Twinkie Street. The postmaster said with a chuckle, "Well, it's not quite that bad...it's Winkie." We now live on Winkie Lane. I can't wait until my big, masculine husband goes to Walgreen's and has to tell the girl behind the counter that he lives on Winkie Lane. Sounds like the road the Old Lady Who Lives in a Shoe should live on.
Fall Fest and my husband's mistress
Last night was fall fest at our church. It was our first year to go, so we didn't really know what to expect. We had a great time!! The girls were good.....ate candy for 2 hours straight...
There was a hair beading booth...Kam, Ken, and Kloe HAD to get their hair beaded. Well, of course, so did Daddy. This normally wouldn't bother me, however, he chose a white bead and a black bead...his hair is so short, that is all the beading lady could get to stay. The black bead was the one on top. It looked like a huge protruding mole. Or a licorice jelly bean. No lie. I took a picture so you can see for yourself.
Ok..now to the "mistress" part of the story....
My husband has befriended a little old lady at church. She rubs on him and loves on him all the time. He loves it. I guess he doesn't get enough of that at home since he's turned to Ms. Hankins for it. Anyway, last night Brian decided Ms. Hankins needed hair beads too, so he went to her Gideons booth and swept her off her feet. They walked by us hand-in-hand to the hair beading booth. Wow. They didn't even try to hide it from me. Sure enough, Ms. Hankins got hair beads. I have to admit...I have my work cut out for me....she looked decades younger and my husband is really smitten with her!

Fireflies!!
What a fun weekend we had!
Friday morning we left home at 8:00 Arkansas bound. I was a little worried about my girls and Krawl, but they were perfect campers! We made fireflies out of glo-sticks, put eyeballs on big rocks in the camp area, played at the park, made rock bugs, and friendship bracelets. Kam even made a new friend...a boy. We were scheduled to stay until Sunday morning, but my father-in-law decided at 7:15 Saturday night we should come on back home. My in-laws never stay gone for long, so this was no surprise. It was cold, so we secretly wanted to sleep in our beds, too! We packed up in the dark, and went home. We are already planning next year's trip. Hopefully the rest of the family will be able to go and maybe it will be warmer!

Day in the life of a goat wrangler
Saturday turned out to be quite an interesting day. BT decided our billy goat, Bernie Mac, needed a pedicure. Wow. So after we attended a housetraining class at PetSmart with Krawl, we rushed home to change into our best goat roping clothes and headed to the grandparents to get the party started.
Our first post!!!
BT finally agreed to a family blog!! Our lives are never boring, so this should prove to be an entertaining site for everyone. Enjoy!
P.S. Thanks to Krytal for introducing this to us and having the best blog ever!
