Blurbs from Ken

Last night I went into Ken's room after she went to bed to check on her. Here's the conversation:
Me: "Why are you still awake?"
Ken: "Cause I missed you all day."
Me: "I miss you all day too, and when I think of you I say a little prayer and ask God to keep you safe and let you know I love you."
Ken: "Momma, your zit is growing."

This morning in the car:

Ken: "Momma, last night I saw Kam in my eyes."
Me: "You mean you dreamt of Kam last night?"
Ken: "No, she was in my eyes when I was asleep and it was just me, you, Kam, and a brother."

I'm concerned more about the brother part of her dream than my zit.

Happy New Year!

Christmas Day

I was on vacation the entire week of Christmas for the first time ever. We began by going to Jefferson to ride the Christmas Train Friday night. Monday we three girls went in to town to have manicures and pedicures, get our teeth cleaned, and spend Target gift cards grandmother sent. Tuesday and Wednesday we spent the day cooking then had Christmas at Granny and PaPa's. I have photos of all that-- just not here. Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas. We had a great one, although exhausting.

Fish Oil: How did I live without it?

I was working out last week and the lady that owns the gym informed me that 5,000mg of fish oil per day will completely eliminate belly fat. Wow...slaving away on the elliptical day in and day out isn't helping, so maybe this will! So I head off to Walgreen's, the store-of-all-stores, to purchase fish oil. I buy 2 bottles of 200 gel caps each and have been taking 5/day since Wednesday. This is my 3rd day. You won't believe what all this pill is good for....
ADHD, anxiety (which we all know I suffer from...), depression, weight loss (of course), prevents cancer, prevents heart disease, adds luster to hair, clears acne and other skin disorders, helps prevent bipolar disorder, reduced risk of breast cancer, improves cholesterol, lowers the risk of heart attack, improves blood flow, AND boosts your immune system. Wow!! I can't believe I've lived 29 years without it!
I must say be prepared for the one negative side effect. Indigestion, leading to belching. Not just any belch. A fishy, sardine, rotten cod kind of belch. And hold your breath when you open the bottle and when you swallow them.
BT won't be kissing me after taking my pills. But HEY!!! Small price to pay.

I'll keep you posted. I'll be a new woman thanks to fish oil!

Christmas Train of Lights

We are so excited!! Tonight we will be going to Jefferson to right the Christmas Train of Lights! Ken and Kam woke up this morning talking about it. I'm a little disappointed it won't be colder, but it will be great regardless! I love Jefferson. Hopefully we will have time to stop in the General Store for fresh fudge afterwards! What a great start to my vacation!

Coffee

Our littlest goat, Coffee, hadn't been feeling well since prior to becoming part of our family. His breed, Nigerian Dwarf, apparently has many health problems, and we were warned of this before we bought him. We fell in love with his gentlness and his beautiful blue eyes. His little "bah" was the cutest sound...sounded just like a child.

Coffee went to heaven on Sunday. The girls are ok with the fact that he is in Heaven with "Baby" Jesus.

Please enjoy the photos of Baby Coffee.

Ken this morning

Poor Kam seldom even speaks in the morning so I never have any cute posts of her morning-time antics.
Ken, on the other hand, falls asleep talking and wakes up talking.
This morning I said "You are such a sweet little girl, Ken." She replied, "I'm smart, too."

Ken's Debut: Christmas Express

We have our own Barbie Princess. She was the Bell of the Ball and was thrilled to wear a crown for the first time!! The dress and crown belong to the school so I will obviously be running to purchase a crown of her very own. She's already informed me she'll be wearing it to church-and probably to school everyday....

Ken and Sissy on the way to the production

Waiting to get the show on the road!!

The 3 Barbie Princesses!

Ken takes the stage.....

Bored...this was just before Ken decided her job was done. She very gracefully exited the stage---during the play.

This was the last photo I was able to capture with my camera, you see.....I had to give Ken mine to bribe her to get back on stage! Photos after this point are all on Sissy's camera!

Yep, it's holiday season

We had the annual Traywick family Christmas Saturday. You know it is holiday time when you see a cousin come in fashionably late in head-to-toe faux leather with her very own Christmas elf, also in faux leather. The same cousin doesn't seem to even recognize her own offspring. You know it is holiday time when another cousin doesn't know your name after being in the family for six years. And you know its holiday season when half the family gets sick afterwards. Pop, Alli, and BT are all sick.
Merry Christmas.

Pics from the Christmas Program

Thanks to a friend at church, we have pics of the program!

This is the way we roll.....

Ken is proving to be a very high maintenance little girl. This photo is from this morning after she got ready for school(Pre-K). Kam is a jeans and sweatshirt kind-of girl....Not Ken. She requires layers of glitter, sparkling headbands, and all the bling she can find. Her school days should be fun....wish us luck! Move over Tammy Faye!!!

Deep Thoughts from Ken Traywick

After I drop Kam off at school and it's just me and Ken in the car, I always ask her if there's anything she wants to talk about.
This morning she didn't until later...
Out of the blue, she said:

Ken: "Momma, it sure is weird that boys tee-tee and stand up."
Me: "Yep, pretty weird, huh. But don't look. That's private."
Ken: "And nasty. We don't ever do that. We sit down."
Me: "That's right, and don't try to do it standing up. It doesn't work for us."

Apparently daycare doesn't close the door when students are tinkling.

XXX....Viewer discretion advised

Ok. We decided to get rid of Krawl. We have not been successful in housetraining him....he was supposed to be trained when we purchased him, but we were dooped.
So I posted him on Craigslist and got a buyer.
I cried at work all day Thursday and just have felt horrible that we weren't able to train him. I wanted him so badly but have never been able to train a dog. It would probably help if we ever stayed home, but at the moment, that is not possible.
Anyway, Thursday when I got home from work I decided I would hold him and carry him around the house for a while. The new owners would be there soon.
I put him on my hip like I carry all my babies and felt an odd little "pulsing" feeling. Oh my word.....I have never been so devestated in all my life. He masterbated on me. And on my favorite green sweater. It was everywhere! I scream and run out to the garage where my husband was hiding to scream at him, too, considering he is the only other male in my house. Oh my. I still just can't get over it. I felt violated.
I couldn't even look at him afterwards....
So they pick him up and love him. They were wonderful people and were so excited. Needless to say after the "episode" I was not sad to see him go.

Until Friday. We got an email....
"Have you had a problem with him huntching everything? He hasn't stopped since we got him home."
What do you say? I couldn't tell the truth for fear they'd bring him back and we were so happy to have a clean smelling garage again.....
So I nicely replied....
"Not so much..he may have done it once or twice...just thought it was normal for an un-neutered dog. He must really like your family...Merry Christmas."

I guess we gave them a gift that keeps on giving.

Christmas Photos

BT had to work Saturday, so the girls and I played Super Models. Check out these shots:

Christmas program

Sunday was the big Christmas Program. Kam was a dancer and Ken was an angel. We could have practiced a couple more months, but overall, it turned out ok. The pics are of rehersal. I took so many pictures over the weekend, I was out of memory for Sunday night!

Thanksgiving Day

We spent Thanksgiving Day at BT's grandparent's house in Gilmer. I had only one request of the whole day....get a family photo so I can order my Christmas Cards. Did that happen? Of course not....
Everytime I needed BT he'd disappear and re-appear with 3 cookies in his mouth. When I could finally catch Ken, she refused to co-operate. Kam, poor thing, just plastered a smile across her face whether I was around with the camera or not, guess you can never be too safe. Sissy and Will tried their best to help, but no Christmas card worthy shots were captured. We did, however, manage to get a few fun ones....
