My girls always say funny things....I need to start posting them so I won't forget....
Ken and I drove up to the house after going shopping. She gets out of the car and says, " Momma, the scarecrow fell over."
Me:"Ok. will you pick him up for me?
Ken: (sighs)"I shouldn't have said anything."
Kam comes out of the bathroom and tells me all about her book project idea.
Me: " That's a great idea!!"
Kam: "I thought of it while I was pooping."
I told the girls we were going to get a shot so we wouldn't get the pig flu.
Ken: "Oh, no...what about the rabbit flu?"
Laying on Kam's bed talking....
Kam: "This girl at school keeps irritating me and pulling my hair."
Me: "She's just jealous because you're gorgeous."
Kam: "Yeah, I know."
Every morning the girls take vitamin C. According to Ken, "Vitamin Seeds."
Diarrhea, at my house, according to Ken, is "melted poop."

Paper Plates for Rock Hard Bodies
I did my usual Power Hour class at the gym last night, but the instructor had a new piece of equipment....Paper Plates! Who would have thought paper plates could be so useful--without a slice of pizza on them? The paper plate exercises were challenging and make you sore in new places, which always feels good....you know if your sore, you've done some good. I have included a video to show you how to include paper plates in your exercise routine. There are many more to choose from on YouTube. The cool thing is..you can do it at home! (you'll also be able to see how dirty the floor is rather quickly....)Tip: It only LOOKS easy. I have a hard time balancing, which causes you utilize your core more than usual, in turn, tightening your abs!! WIN WIN!! Enjoy!

Kennedy the Kindergartener
My sweet little Kennedy....
As you know from my previous posts, my girls are not the least bit insecure or shy about their bodies.....or bodily functions. They never have been, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I want them to be comfortable and proud.
Kamryn is nine now, so she knows (finally) that there are just some things you don't do in public, even if it is a nature occurrence.
Kennedy, on the other hand, simply doesn't care. If she wants to pick her nose, she picks her nose, if she has a wedgie, she picks it out, if she needs to pass gas, she passes gas, regardless of where she is, whose around, or what she's doing.
Yesterday at school--in class-- she tooted. She didn't think anything of it. It's perfectly normal. Better out than in, after all.
All of her classmates laughed at her. The sub, who happens to have been her softball coach, comforted her in her time of embarrassment. She was shocked they had the nerve to laugh at her. Last night she told Kamryn, "I'm not talking to anyone in my class again. They laughed at me when I tooted." Kamryn thought this was hysterical and explained to her she can't be doing that in front of everyone. I love that they talk about stuff. It is so cute to just listen to the conversations they have with each other.
She was still embarrassed when she told me the story this morning. Poor thing. I felt so bad for her. I told her it was OK. Everyone needs to toot occasionally and they are just jealous because she's beautiful.

FBC Expo 2009
We had a great time in Diana this weekend! The rain didn't keep us from rock climbing, mechanical bull riding, or any of the other things we had going on at church.
I posted pics on my facebook.

**********Update to UFC at my house************
I guess my big toe isn't broken afterall. It is still a little sore, but I can walk again. I'm no longer on the injured list and will return to playing UFC soon!!!
The Gregg County Fair
We normally do not visit the Gregg County Fair, but Brian wanted a turkey leg and Ken was excited! We hope you enjoy our little video. Note: The blonde lady-carnie is my sweet friend Theresa, a.k.a. Mother Theresa. She isn't really a carnie, hence the reason for clean hair and hands....she is helping one of our customers in her catering company. Soon the two ladies will be traveling to a biker rally in Palestine!
The letter "L"
Ken learned the letter L last week. She took these Lollipops to her friends.
She loves kindergarten.

UFC at my house
So I love to play UFC on my husband. It is so much fun! He doesn't think so because he gets mad at me and won't hurt me, no matter what.
Well, last night I went to give him a back kick at the exact same time he spun to back kick me. My foot hit his and there was a huge "POP" followed by me screaming and crying on the couch. Did anyone come to my rescue? No. The girls were sound asleep and BT just looked at me....tears streaming down my face in agony. It must be said that I have never broken a bone in my life. It still hurts just as bad now and is swollen and blue. I have a luncheon later and if it still unbearable, I will take myself to the ER. The doctor should get a good laugh out of the woman who broke her big toe kicking her husband for fun.

What to say....
Let's see.....
I'm exhausted so we must be doing things lately...
Friday night- went to the gym.
Saturday morning- went to the gym, then to eat with family.
Sunday- went to Sunday school, then to Canton to meet Will, Pop & Sissy, & Alex & Jeff. It was so hot. I expected fall-like temperatures. Let's just say it was so hot, I didn't buy a thing. OK. Except for food and drinks. (funnel cake, lemonade, tea, turkey leg....you know, the usual stuff)
Came home and crashed. The four of us hopped into our bed, then at 8pm decided we wanted IHOP and were on the road again....it was really really good....
Monday morning- gym again. Thanks to funnel cake and IHOP. then home to finish my science test. Monday night- class #3 of Science at LETU. One student brought her 2 children to class with her. I should have stayed home with my own two children.
Today- at work. Going to the gym (twice) later....still thanks to the funnel cake and IHOP.
Happy Tuesday.

We have a son!!
I knew that title would get your attention.
Last night at the concert, there was a Compassion International booth. I had never heard of this organization, but it is a Christian based group that focuses on improving the spiritual, economic, and social poverty of children around the world. Sponsoring a child is only $38.00/month, and the cool thing is that you actually get to choose your child, write to them, and have a relationship with them. Many people even meet their child, which we hope to do. All your letters will be translated by CI workers, so your child will understand what you have to say.
Our little boy, Claudomyr is almost 8 years old. He attends church activities at the local CI development center near his home and is able to go to school.
What do the girls think about our sponsorship??
Ken: "When is he getting here?
Kam: "Where is he going to sleep?"
Ken: "I'm so excited to have a brown brother!"
Our church goes to Haiti every year, and we hope to go next summer. Maybe we will get to meet Claudomyr!

First week of school update
Kamryn wasn't very excited about school. I guess by the time you make it to 4th grade, the new wears off.
Until........the teacher got bit by one of the class pets-a corn snake!! That turned things around for Kam!! Now she never knows what to expect! Yesterday they added a gecko to the animal collection! It sounds like the hedgehog is pretty illusive, so I don't have any stories about him. Kam has taken more of an interest in her appearance this year---up until now, it was jeans, a t-shirt, and a pony tail--nothing matched. Now, we "discuss" her outfit the night before and come to an agreement that suits us both and she makes sure her face is clean and she put her deodorant on before she leaves. She is turning in to a little lady!!
Rock Star is the theme of the year for both my girls.
Kennedy. What can I say. She only worries about her clothes. As long as she looks cute, she has a great day. She does get upset if I don't put glitter in her hair and can't understand why she can't wear hot pink extensions to school, but over all, things are going well. She has been on "green" since school started (which means she has been good)and has experienced a few new things. One boy spilled his apple sauce on her pants. She didn't panic too much. She told me "It's Ok, it was an accident." She saw a little boy eat crayons, and fortunately didn't try one for herself. The worst part, according to Kennedy, is sitting on the floor. She says there are germs on the floor and it is "so gross" to sit on it. Poor thing.
Pictures to come soon!! Go Eagles!!
