News!!!! Penelope, Maddie, and Monique are going to be moms!!!!! It's been a while since there has been babies on the farm!! Kathie Sue the fainting goat should be next, provided that Man Goat doesn't faint while he is doing his manly duty. After that, more baby Brahmas----Pancake, Georgia, and Blanche will be next in line to enter mommyhood!
We all four of us originally hoped to be able to witness the births of our new calves, but after seeing a clip of the cow birth on Dirty Jobs, I think we lost the girls.

Penelope and Friends
This evening the vet is coming out to determine if our 3 oldest girls are pregnant or not! We thought we could predict this on our own, but obviously cannot since we thought we would have babies in September and have no cattle raising experience to speak of. Penelope. Maddie, and Monique, the three oldest lady Brahmas, will finally have to reveal if they are going to be Moms!!!! Wooo Hooooo!!!!
Advocare Herbal Cleanse: Day 2
Well I survived the night, but just barely. My stomach cramped and it felt like golf balls were trying to go through all 20+ feet of my small intestine. Why do a herbal cleanse, you ask? I am questioning that myself as I sit here trying to work up the courage to drink this fiber drink for the 2nd day in a row. I need to hear these reasons myself:
1. Helps move food residue quickly through the body to give a lighter feeling.
2. Vitamins, etc. will be better absorbed.
3. Digestion is optimized.
4. Skin tone is better.
5. Mental alertness is enhanced.
6. Overall health and vitality will be increased.
Only 8 more days to go!

Advent Day 1
Our sweet friends Clint and Elise gave us an awesome gift for Christmas! It is The Family Book of Advent! It lasts for 25 days and has stories and activities to do as a family everyday for 25 days until Christmas. We started last night and unfortunately didn't get to do the activity because I read it going to basketball practice! Hopefully tonight we can do it the right way.
Lady Monarchs
My little Ken started basketball practice last night with Upwards! She was so excited! Poor little thing is the smallest person on the team. The team only consists of K-2, but let me tell you, those second graders look like 5th graders! She didn't know anyone on her team but tried so hard! Her coaches are women that look like they just left the Marines. Kam and I sat and watched the whole time while BT took care of business via phone.....Kam said, "Momma, look at her....I think she needs a hug." I kept wanting to run out and hug her and tell her to keep at it! Thankfully she loved it and the number on her jersey is #1!!!!
Every time she looked over at us she smiled, and we gave her a thumbs up. Once we got home Kam had stuff to do and Ken was cleaning the bathroom....I saw her go to Kam's door and give her a thumbs up. It was precious!

Herbal Cleanse, Day 1
Today is the day. Is that a good thing? I haven't decided....while I sit here typing as I gag on my first peaches-n-cream flavored fiber drink.
I decided that Advocare's 10 day Herbal Cleanse will be the cleansing of choice this holiday season in order to make room for all those Christmas goodies.
A certain someone told me the peaches-n-cream flavor is the best....I failed to ask what it was being compared to....the best of what??? It is thick, almost the consistency of a milkshake, but not the kind of milkshake that brings all the boys to the yard, oh no, this is no melody people. This milkshake is not better than yours, oh no, no need to charge, great song by the way.
Anyway, there are many benefits to doing a cleanse, but there are some rules to follow:
No sugar
No fried foods
10 servings of fruit and veggies per day
to name a few....yes, there are more. 10 days worth.
Wish me luck.

Mar Balls and other things.
We had AWANA Store night Sunday night where the kids can buy stuff with the AWANAS bucks they have earned so far. Kam bought a horse calender for next year-no suprise there- and Ken bought a sack full of mar balls. You know what those are, right? They are marbles, but she thinks they are called mar balls. Makes sense. Sissy told her she played with them when she was a kid, then Ken asked me if I did. Um, no. I didn't. Then she asked if Nana did. I told her I didn't think so. She can't understand why EVERYONE doesn't play with mar balls. Then Ken said, "Momma I'm sorry you only had like 2 TV channels when you were a kid." They DO listen to me.
The girl Kam had a problem with, the bully, got majorly put on the spot yesterday after she had been sent to the office for threatening another kid. Mr. Gross was there, our Sherriff or whatever, teaching the kids about bullying. He asked the class if anyone knows a bully and Kam raised her hand. He called on her and asked if she knew a bully. She said she does. He asked where the bully goes to school and what grade the person it in and Kam told him. He then asked for a name and Kam told him. In front of the whole class. I am beaming, I tell you!!!! BT is so hoping this child is on our softball team this year.

Work in Progress
Yesterday I was driving, listening to KLOVE, and they shared a wonderful message. I always hear people say, "God doesn't give you more than you can handle," which I know is not true and is no where in the Bible. Go ahead and look. It's not.
The lady on KLOVE said it perfectly. She said that saying is a lie. Simple as that. God absolutely will give you more than you can handle and walk along side you while your back breaks and your knees buckle until you realize you can't do it on your own and you have to turn to Him for help. That could be the whole point. We can't do everything, or anything, on our own and often think we can and forgo having an intimate relationship with Christ, then complain that things don't go our way. It isn't our way that things need to go, after all, and perhaps if we turn to Him like we are supposed to our lives won't fall into such shambles.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Adoration, Snatching, and other things.
My Kam was so proud of her 100 on her essay yesterday. She said she was to write about someone that she adores so she wrote about me! "You adore me?" I asked her. I was shocked. She had me read it and it was the more precious thing I have ever read in my life. Most of it was totally not true even though she says it is. I will try to scan it in and put it here.
I had to give her a lesson in standing up for herself last night and practiced on BT. A little girl in her class is so bratty that she snatches things out of people's hands. I told Kam she has to defend herself and her personal space. Here's how it went down. BT snatches my napkin from my hand. I snatch it back, get in his face, and scream, "You stop snatching things from me or I'm going to jack-slap you, do you understand?" Kam died laughing (as did BT) and said, "Do I have to say that??" She refused to practice on us. We will see how the lesson goes.....
Ken's teacher emailed the other day that every day when it is time for the Pledge of Allegiance, Ken and LiLi hold hands. She said it is adorable! I wish I could see it!

A little at a time....
....I am still behind on blogging and haven't even shared all last last weekend's happenings or photos....
so this most recent last weekend was busy as usual, but good! Kam went to her Justin Beiber concert her dad got her for her b-day Saturday night!! She was so excited to go! She didn't say much about it, though. I don't know if she didn't enjoy it or missed sleeping all weekend. She said it was good then talked about all the homeless people she saw in Houston. We kept Li Li over the weekend as her parents were out of town. While Kam was gone, we were given strict instructions from her not to let anyone in her room because it always gets destroyed. We honored her wishes and made her room off limits.
Ken and Lili had a blast. Poor Lili....Mr. Brian called her Dee Dee to irritate her all weekend. We took them to eat Saturday night and to Wal-mart, of course. I hope these two remain BFFs forever! They are so sweet together. After Wal-mart, Lili's tummy hurt (from eating so much, no doubt) so she laid her head in Ken's lap and Ken patted her until they both fell asleep---Lili resting in Ken's lap and Ken sitting up with her head back. It was precious. Naps unfortunately are short-lived in our family. As soon as they were home, nap time was over. They had to watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua for the 10th time.

FBC Fall Fest 2010
I appologize in advance. My blogs for the next few days just aren't going to be in the right order.
These were taken Sunday, Halloween and FALL FEST DAY!!!!
The workers had a contest and I won second!! Just behind Ace Ventura's dad (see below)..he was a pirate. My chicken got called a duck all night and was quick to correct them and my little piglet spent the entire evening eating candy. My decked out truck driving hillbilly had a blast and scared as many people as he fooled. Poor little kids. And grown ups.

Kamryn Singing at Church!
Kamryn was part of a quartet at church Sunday. She practiced so hard and knew all the words...but you'll notice a part with no singing, just music....that is because her mic didn't work. Lovely. Poor little thing...she stood there and sang every word with a dead mic. She was happy with herself anyway and we were so proud of her!

Things you don't hear everyday....
"Momma, Kennedy has homework but she isn't doing it. She is picking grapes off your shirt and letting them go up in the air. Now there's four on the ceiling."
Happy Monday!
